Last month, I hosted and taught a small workshop in my home and it was fabulous! I realized how much I missed teaching on a regular basis and spending time with creative friends. I no sooner cleaned up after the day of play and my brain went into gear...I just had to create another project to teach.
I'm so excited to share with you what I came up with...I have called the project "Buttons&Bezels...Ticking&Toile" (for obvious reasons) and it's a tri-fold fabric book with a watercolor paper/fabric signature inside.
This was meant to be a project designed for a standard 3-4 hour class...you know, the kind of projects I used to make each month for creatologie kits (that took more than 3-4 hours :). But, the results turned out to be something entirely different. You see, I was creating totally in my sweet spot...the color palette and theme, flavored with vintage French style...and what should have been something fairly uncomplicated ended up being an Heirloom quality type of project. The book itself is 8x9 1/2" and most of the pages are richly detailed and embellished and have lots of layers...our favorite kind of project, right?
I will be teaching this project in my home on Saturday, July 21st in what I'm calling an "In-Between Workshop to Play". Why "in-between", you might ask? Well, the project itself is between a regular class and an Heirloom Project (but definitely closer to an Heirloom) and it's falling between a couple of Heirloom Events. The Workshop will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and we'll have snacks, munchies and drinks all day as well as a great lunch put together by Chef Ashley...I'm hearing rumors about some Southwest/Mexican Fiesta dishes...not confirmed, of course, just rumors :).
Here's the deal. I have just a couple of spots left in this Workshop to Play. So, if you are looking to create an Heirloom quality project at an in-between price of $167 (more than a regular class, less than an Heirloom Event), this is the perfect opportunity for you. Simply click on the Buy Now button below...I can't wait to share this project and spend the day creating with you!
